PRAYERS FOR THE LIFE OF FRANCES NEWTON AND THE VICTIMS OF KATRINA

For Immediate Release, Sept. 14, 2005

This is to notify the media that multiple ministers from across the city of Houston
will be coming together at 1p.m. today, to show their solidarity and pray for the
life of Frances Newton and the victims of Katrina. Songs of Hope and Inspiration
will be rendered by the musicians from the Brookhollow Bapt. church. Simultaneously,
various Houston churches will be conducting prayers for Frances' innocent life to be
spared.

Amongst the ministers attending the gathering will be:


Pastor Herbert Stroman, Christian Hope Baptist Church for 49 years
Elder T. Leon Preston II, Restoration Assembly Church
Evangelist Monica Brown of Monica Brown Ministries
Evangelist Felise Edwards from New Light Christian Center
Ministers from the Church Without Walls, Brookhollow Baptist Church
Todd Harrison, Musician from the Brookhollow Baptist Church
as well as other ministers not yet confirmed.

They will gather with supporters of Frances Newton and members of the Committee to
Free Frances Newton at the corner of Kirby and McNee. Religious believers will come
together in prayer and in agreement that the execution should not be carried out.
They will also pray in solidarity with the survivors of Katrina.

Immediately following, supporters of Frances Newton will caravan to Huntsville for
the 6 p.m. scheduled execution time of Frances Newton.
