As you see elsewhere at this site, we have postcards to print, stamps to pre-supply, DVDs to purchase and distribute, T-shirts to prepare for eventual sale, and the many little things that go to add up to an effective campaign. Here is our plea:
You can help Frances by making a donation to the Committee to Free Frances Newton. Her legal services are currently being donated by the Texas Innocence Project, but we help with our lobbying and public mobilization campaign for Frances.
We need funds to print post cards for people to send to Texas Governor, Rick Perry asking for a stay of Frances’ execution. We would like to send the governor 25,000 post cards, and we need stamps for those cards, to insure
that each and everyone gets mailed. This will cost at least $5,000 (U.S).We would also like to hire a bus to take people from Houston, the largest city in Texas, to Austin, the Capital of Texas for a march and protest. This will cost about $1,000.
Another $2,000 is needed for t-shirts, flyers, bumper stickers, etc. to help make the public aware of Frances’ plight.
And finally, we would like to have $2,000 to purchase newspaper ads and radio air time to tell people about Frances.
That makes a total of $10,000 needed to help save the life of this innocent woman who came home one day to find her husband and two children murdered and who has subsequently been sitting on death row for 18 years.
Please send a check or money order made out as shown at the top of this web page. Please help save the life of this innocent woman.
